1804, "INSTRUCTIONS FOR VACCINE INOCULATION - AN ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SIGNS OF INFECTION, AND OF THE CHARACTER AND PROGRESS OF THE VACCINE VESICLE, IS ESSENTIAL TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS INOCULATION", printed three side instruction of the Royal Jennerian Society, subject to Postage Exemption, and sent with ms. endosement "On the business of the Royal Jennerian Society" and red crowned free frank "SEP 1 1804" to Ayr, with signature of Post Office secretary, Francis Freeling, alongside. Presumably the earliest known instruction for vaccination, stated to be unique.
