Thank you for viewing this item
This is a rare highly sought-after item for collectors of Irish philately and political history.
The Iremand 1907 Sinn Féin Propaganda Label block of 8 is mint never hinged. This block features two tete-beche [inverted] specimens, thus making it extremely rare. These stamps are from rows 1-4, columns 1&2 of the sheet.
This labels were produced by Sinn Féin to raise awareness of their political aims and to raise funds for their cause. The funds would also support the then recently founded Irish Republican Army.
The stamps/labels were issued in 1907 and banned by the occupying forces of the Crown, in 1908.
The block is of fine to very fine grade, but does not come with a certificate. There is slight toning, most evident on the reverse aspect.
For a reasonable offer, I could be persuaded to split the block into to samples of 4, each containing one tete-beche variety.
Basic, untracked, uninsured shipping is free.
I recommended you consider at least tracked shipping.
